(194 YDS, 1 TD, 24 touches at Toronto) - No Andrew Harris, no problem for the Lions, who turned Logan loose against the Argos Sunday and watched the 5-foot-6 runner go for nearly 200 yards, pushing Logan to fifth in the league in rushing yards through the first eight weeks, with 376 yards on the ground, a 5.4 yards per carry. Rob Bagg, WR, Saskatchewan (90 YDS, 1 TD, 6 REC vs. Montreal) - The veteran Canadian could be on his way to his best season, particularly if his recent numbers hold up. Over the past three games, Bagg has 244 yards receiving on 16 catches and now leads the Roughriders with 359 receiving yards on the season. Ricky Ray, QB, Toronto (49-for-72, 478 YDS, 5 TD, 2 INT vs. Winnipeg and B.C.) - The first game of the week, against Winnipeg, went much better for Ray and the Argos, than Sunday nights game against B.C., but the overall total made for a productive week for Ray, who is now the leagues leader in passing yardage, with 2,165, seven yards ahead of Winnipegs Drew Willy. Curtis Steele, RB, Toronto (188 YDS, 2 TD, 27 touches vs. Winnipeg and B.C.) - A part-time back who had not recorded 10 touches in a game since last August, Steele had 119 yards and a couple of scores on a dozen touches against Winnipeg, then added 69 yards on 15 touches against B.C. PLAYERS TO WATCH IN WEEK NINE Jon Cornish, RB, Calgary - Slated to return from a concussion, the reigning CFL Most Outstanding Player, could make his return to the Stampeders lineup at Ottawa, to face a Redblacks team allowing a league-high 121 yards per game on the ground. If Cornish somehow isnt ready, the Stampeders can turn to Hugh Charles, who hit the ground running for the Stampeders, rushing for 102 yards on 14 carries against Hamilton last week. Matt Carter, WR, Ottawa - Despite a critical fumble against Edmonton last week, the Canadian wideout is emerging as a threat in the passing game, catching eight passes for 172 yards in the past two weeks, after 10 catches for 95 yards in the previous five games. His 267 yards receiving counts as a career high and hes likely to keep getting more looks from QB Henry Burris. Duron Carter, WR, Montreal - As much as the Alouettes passing game has been a mess, averaging a league-low 179 yards per game through the air, Carter is starting to make an impact, catching 17 passes for 181 yards in the past two games.
